Magic and Beauty and Self

 

From Khalil Gibran's 1912 novel The Broken Wings:

        Thus, the appearance of things
      changes according to the emotions,
    and thus we see magic and beauty in them,
  while the magic and beauty are really in ourselves.

... and maybe more magic and beauty appear when we lose ourselves?
